Series/Report no.: EP 3339251B1;
Abstract: The present invention relates to a process for treatment of waste water from the explosive industries, such as ammonium nitrate / fuel oil (ANFO) type and emulsion explosives. Said process comprises precipitation with lime and carbonation with atmospheric CO 2 . This treatment reduces the organic content of the effluent from the explosive industries and simultaneously produces by-products with value-added. In addition, the process of the present invention enables the capture and collection of compounds present in the effluent obtained and their subsequent reuse, both in the explosive industries and in other industries where they are required. Thus, the present invention is in the technical field of waste water treatment, specifically of effluents from the explosives industry.
